1. National Future of Education Technology® National Conference 2022 (FETC)

When: Jan 25 – 28, 2022

Where: Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla.

The Future of Education Technology Conference has been around for forty years and its sole purpose is to gather the most dynamic and innovative school leaders and professionals from around the world for an intensive, highly collaborative exploration of new technologies, best practices and pressing issues in K-12 edtech.

FETC will return in person in 2022 and has special keynotes and talks planned to discuss the future of education and instructional technology, K-12 IT, and more.

The conference also hosts weekly EdTech chats every Tuesday 5pm ET that feature ed-tech thought leaders and innovators.

2. Idaho Education Technology Association (IETA) Conference

When: Feb 2 – 3, 2022

Where: Boise Center in Boise, ID.

This two-day conference in Idaho features deep dives on topics such as improving technology equity and mental health in schools, building a sustainable budget and lifecycle plan for classroom technology, how to get the most out of an LMS, and more.

IETA also has two major breakout sessions where K-12 IT leaders, school administrators, and education stakeholders can come together to network, discuss their industry, and talk about all things instructional technology andK-12 IT.

3. Pennsylvania Educational Technology Expo & Conference (PETE&C)

When: Feb 6 – 9, 2022

Where: Hershey Lodge in Hershey, PA.

PETE&C is a Pennsylvania statewide event that provides quality programs focused on technology in the educational field. This three-day conference will take place in hybrid format, with the majority of sessions taking place in Hershey Lodge. For remote participants, there will be four virtual sessions per time slot.

This conference also includes new session types to select from, including interactive lectures, panels, poster sessions, playgrounds, roundtable discussions and pechakucha presentations (20 images for 20 seconds each).

4. Texas Computer Education Association (TCEA) Convention & Expo

When: Feb 7 – 10, 2022

Where: Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, TX.

2022 marks the 42nd year of the TCEA Convention & Exposition. This 57,000-member association is led by a grassroots board of directors, and the conference features specialized conference tracks for CTOs, tech directors, and network and IT support specialists in K-12.

K-12 IT teams can attend sessions on device implementation and management, cybersecurity, network and infrastructure planning, and other topics that are central to school IT.

TCEA also helps K-12 professionals earn tons of CEUs. Attendees decide which sessions to attend based on their interests and your goals. With sessions on tech tips and tricks, SEL, equity, diversity, and inclusion, educational leadership and coaching, personalized learning, and so much more, there’s a little something for everyone. 5. IDEAcon

When: Feb 14 – 17, 2022

Where: Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center Hotel in Schaumburg, IL.

IDEAcon is one of the Midwest’s largest ed tech conferences. Hosted by the Illinois Digital Educators Alliance (IDEA) every February, thousands of educators from Illinois and across the U.S. join together to learn about pedagogical practices in education and how to leverage technology to engage, inspire, and reach all learners.

This 4-day conference includes keynote speakers and hundreds of high-quality educator-led sessions focused on developing student success, building relationships, and integrating tools to foster academic achievement. You’ll also have the opportunity to visit 200+ vendors, explore state of the art educational technology resources, participate in hands-on learning explorations, and network with other passionate K-12 professionals.

6. BrainStorm Kalahari

When: Mar 13 – 15, 2022

Where: Kalahari Convention Center in Wisconsin Dells, WI.

BrainStorm is a three-day, hybrid event that was created “for Edtechs, by Edtechs”. With over 120 technology-focused sessions, attendees will have the opportunity to engage with their colleagues (IT Directors, Tech Coordinators, System Admins, Network Admins, Desktop Techs, etc.) and vendors in the K-12 community.

7. Computer-Using Educators (CUE) Conference

When: March 17 – 19, 2022

Where: Palm Springs, CA.

CUE’s BOLD Symposium will take teachers, administrators, and district leaders on a deep dive into the world of blended and online lesson design.

This event will challenge all educators to meet and lead their students in the 21st century with a focus on the symbiotic relationship of learning environment design, digital learning systems, and rethinking traditional lesson design as the essential components to launching a personalized 1:1 learning environment.

8. International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Live

When: Jun 26 – 29, 2022

Where: Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, LA.

For more than four decades, the ISTE conference has been recognized as one of the world’s most influential education events. It’s where educators and education leaders gather to engage in hands-on learning, share best practices and hear from the brightest minds from the world of education and beyond.

Recorded ISTE content will be available post-conference for six months.

9. Georgia Association of Managers of Educational Information Systems (GAMEIS) Conference

When: July 12 – 15, 2022

Where: Savannah Convention Center in Savannah, GA.

GAMEIS conference is hosted each summer and invites Georgia educators, K-12 technology leaders, and high-profile keynote speakers to come together and discuss relevant and current trends or challenges facing K-12 education technology.

Attendees will be given the chance to network in breakout sessions and explore edtech software and hardware solutions from dozens of different vendors.

10. Jamf Nation User Conference (JNUC) 2022

When: Oct 19 – 21, 2022

Where: Virtual/Remote

Since 2010, K-12 IT leaders have rallied at the Jamf Nation User Conference (JNUC) for community presentations, deep-dive education sessions and expert product insights.

JNUC was held remotely in 2021 and focused on new and better ways to connect, manage, and protect Apple devices that simplify workflows for IT and InfoSec and keep users productive.

Virtual JNUC attendees can expect product demos from Jamf experts, deep-dive technical sessions that explore through advanced workflows, and customer-led sessions on how IT and InfoSec leaders are leveraging Jamf to maximize their Mac, iPad, iPhone and Apple TV initiatives.

11. SC EdTech

When: October 26 – 28, 2022

Where: Myrtle Beach Convention Center in Myrtle Beach, SC.

As South Carolina’s largest educational technology conference, the SC EdTech Conference’s primary goal is to bring K-12 community members together to think, discuss, listen, and learn the best strategies to plan for and use educational technology in schools.

The South Carolina Association for Educational Technology (SCAET) Board works together throughout the year to choose the best sessions, keynotes speakers, and technology to offer during the conference. By organizing and hosting the EdTech Conference, SCAET enables South Carolina state educators to learn about new technology practices, and receive professional development credit while doing so.

Conference sessions include topics such as promoting equitable distribution of school technology, assistive technology best practices, using open source tools to manage K-12 digital infrastructure, and more.

12. Oklahoma Society for Technology in Education (OKSTE) Conference

When: October, 2022

Where: Bartlesville, OK.

OKSTE brings together 1,500 teachers, admins, and IT directors from around Oklahoma to discuss all things edtech.

Conference sessions include K-12 IT director roundtables, best practices for hybrid learning, technology equity in the classroom, Google Workspace workshops, and more.

13. Georgia Educational Technology Conference (GAETC)

When: Nov 3 – 4, 2022

Where: Georgia Int. Convention Center in Atlanta, GA.

For more than two decades, GAETC has played a key role in helping educators at all levels increase their understanding of the role of technology in education. The Conference provides educators the opportunity to learn about the latest in educational technology and offers a forum for discussion among professionals concerned with technology in education.

GaETC offers almost 250 concurrent sessions, nationally known speakers and presenters, workshops focusing on the latest in technological innovations and software, and over 200 commercial exhibits featuring state-of-the-art technology.

14. Hoosier Educational Computer Coordinators (HECC) Conference

When: Nov 9 – 11, 2022

Where: Crowne Plaza Hotel in Indianapolis, IN.

The HECC conference was designed to provide those charged with implementing educational technology in Indiana schools with timely information and resources in order to improve communication, efficiency, and the integration of technology.

HECC also features an online, virtual series that K-12 IT professionals can access and engage in year-round.

15. California IT in Education (CITE) Annual Conference Exhibit Show

When: November, 2022

Where: Sacramento, CA.

California IT in Education is a not-for-profit, professional membership association supporting IT Professionals working in schools.

The CITE conference is dedicated to the K-12 IT professionals who are supporting hardware, software, help desk, data, WiFi, providing training, and installing and maintaining IOT used in schools.

16. 57th Annual NYSCATE Conference

When: Nov 19 – 22, 2022

Where: Latham, NY.

The New York State Association for Computers and Technologies in Education (NYSCATE) Annual Conference: over 120 presentations by teachers and technology experts are given over the three day period.

NYSCATE recruits keynote speakers who are respected thought leaders in K-12 IT and allows members of the community to come together for seminars, workshops, roundtable discussions, and more.

17. The Virginia Society for Technology in Education (VSTE)

When: Dec 4 – 6, 2022

Where: Virginia Beach, VA.

VSTE is the premier professional development and advocacy organization for educators in Virginia to develop K-12 IT and school leadership skills.

The VSTE conference is held each year in Virginia Beach and was designed to bring together K-12 IT community members for professional development, networking, and advocacy of technology in schools.

Session topics include how to foster digital learning environments, Google Workspace tips and tricks, teaching computer science in K-12 schools, and more.
