Classroom Deployment Tools

Get devices to students faster.

My Classes allows teachers to use a webcam to quickly assign devices to their homeroom students, saving tremendous time by assisting IT teams in device deployments. Clearly visible progress indicators make it simple for teachers to ensure that they’re assigning devices properly.

Incident IQ districts have reported deployment times as fast as 1,000 devices per hour.

Device and Asset Collection

Collect devices and track storage locations.

iiQ Assets records previous device ownership and storage location, so schools can efficiently assign the same device to students year-over-year.

Device stewardship keeps student devices working longer.

Districts that return the same device to students year-over-year experience less device damage. If students know they’re getting the same device back, they’re more likely to take better care it. With storage tracking, iiQ Assets makes this best practice easy to implement.

Spare Device Management

Eliminate downtime with Spare Pool.

Prevent damaged devices from causing lost instructional time. Spare Pool provides IT teams with tools to allocate and monitor spare devices across an entire district.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is device deployment?

Device deployment is the process by which assets, such as Google Chromebooks, are distributed throughout an organization and delivered to their assigned users. For specific technologies, the deployment process might also include the installation, configuration, running, and testing of devices to ensure that users can quickly access and begin operating their assigned devices as soon as the deployment process is complete.

How can I deploy Chromebooks faster?

In order for K-12 districts to deploy Chromebooks faster, they need a clearly defined deployment strategy and a set of deployment tools that allows them to execute that strategy at scale.

The easiest way to get Chromebook devices deployed is with a barcode scanner, smartphone camera, or other mobile scanning device. A quick scan of an asset label instantly assigns a student device and uploads all relevant asset data for that device directly to a school district’s asset management software.

Does iiQ work with Google Admin Console?

Yes, the Google Devices integration for Incident IQ allows K-12 IT teams to sync detailed device data between Google devices (like Chromebooks) and Incident IQ.

Once device data has been synced between the two platforms, users can view detailed asset metadata, generate reports using MDM data and manage devices efficiently using Device Actions — writeback actions that allow you to modify devices in your MDM from within Incident IQ.

Does iiQ work with Microsoft SCCM?

Yes, the Microsoft SCCM integration for Incident IQ allows K-12 IT teams to sync detailed device data between SCCM and Incident IQ.

Once device data has been synced between the two platforms, users can view detailed device metadata, generate reports using MDM data and manage devices efficiently using Device Actions — writeback actions that allow you to modify devices in your MDM from within Incident IQ.

How can I better track deployed devices (like Chromebooks)?

After deployment, IT teams can track assets and devices using K-12 inventory management software.

Devices that are deployed using asset management software will have their relevant asset data recorded. Once that data has been stored, inventory management software keeps a detailed record of changes made to every device. IT teams can then automatically track changes to ownership, location, internal hardware, and other crucial asset data.
